The CH-R is the opposite of really attractive.

That’s what girls usually say about me.

It’s also the opposite of practical and/or useful. I don’t get it.

They need to give that spoiler back to the Focus RS they stole it from

No. The elephant man is the opposite of attractive. The CH-R is an eldritch abomination in car form. It’s supernaturally ugly. Toyota must see the Asstek as a watershed moment in car design, because all their modern efforts so far have been attempts to top it.
I fear if they don’t stop, a singularly of ugly will be created and beautiful cars will cease to be. We will enter an age of darkness and bangle lines. Not even the jags will be pretty anymore.

You won’t say that when you’re buying one in mint condition in 20 years time

Indeed. I was parked next to one in my E46 wagon the other day, and while the two cars are really quite similar in size and shape, overall, the E46 definitely has a bigger trunk area, and yet the back seat looked more spacious (in the E46). I asked him how he liked it and he said, “It’s OK, but I’d rather have your car.” I’m like, well you could just go buy one, and it would still have been cheaper...
I did know the guy, but he’s not the type to have a 15 year old BMW over a new Honda. And I love Hondas! But can’t get on board with this thing.

I like it. Not massively but if I had one I could live with it quite happily.

Someone down the street from me bought one and street parks it. It’s taking all my energy each day I drive by to not buy a car cover and throw it on the thing so I don’t have to see it.

2018 Toyota is the modern equivalent of 1998 Pontiac. Boring cars that have been rediculously overstyled in an attempt to seem more exciting.

I just don’t really get them. It also falls flat on features. No sunroof. No AWD. No leather. Hell, the backup camera is integrated in the mirror despite having a touchscreen radio.
The backseats are depressingly tight and dark too. And forget headroom.
It’s so useless compared to literally every other small SAV

I like it. If if only they sold the 1.2L turbo with the 6spd here.

Its ugliness is bigly.

yeah... a much slower, worse looking, less functional Juke. With the off color “floating” roof it really is just not nice looking...

An overstyled pseudo-aggressive Toyota aimed at the Walter Mitty demographic? No way.

I don’t know who would buy one of these, but I recently saw one in traffic and realized that I didn’t hate it. It still confuses me, but it doesn’t offend me like I thought it would.

Rather have an HRV, but I’d buy a hatchback before I bought a tiny CUV.

It’s fugly, and so is its competitor from Toyota, who’s name I can’t be bothered to remember.

I just realized this is a Toyota, and while I’m still in the edit window, I can’t be bothered to do so.

It only looks good with the white roof. But even then it’s almost worse than a Juke.

And you’re a sentient lobster...
And anyway, people won’t buy an actual hatchback, so they have to make it look like it’s way tougher than it’s ever really going to be used for. Bonus points if said styling also reduces functionality.

I don’t mind them. They got character yo.

It’s actually not that bad for a Hot Wheels design scaled up to life size. I actually think it came out fairly well. I mean sure the tires should probably be a little bigger, and the exhaust is too small, and should have been left to exit from the side with individual straight pipes, but overall it still feels like a Hot Wheels car.
